Solving India's Employment Problem
Unemployment is of the biggest Issue which is directly or indirectly responsible for all the major challenges of our Country be it Poverty, Growing Crimes, Etc.
In this Blog, I will try to give Macro Points by which how this "Complex Unemployment" problem could be solved at basic level.
1. Decentralisated and Area-specific skill development: {Eg} A Cluster of Village having Cattles like Cow, Buffalo, etc should be upskilled in the dairying sector.
Also appoint a Professional Expert as a Mentor with the Group so he/she can guide the villagers in there Day to Day Implementation.
This will ensure the distribution chain is being setup to get the Market access.
2. Integration of Social Security Initiatives:
{Eg} In Anganwadis- Education, Health and Skills are given altogether.
Suppose ABC Aganwadi provides Education to there members by appointing a teacher, Giving basic health with ASHA Workers Collab and Upskilling of those things which are more in demand, like Designing, Communication, Management Skills, etc
3. Industry-relevant Vocational Courses: Improving the Quality of Teaching and Infrastructure in the ITI and Training Institute. Updating there teaching and matching the International Standards are needed to create actual employment otherwise Youth will be trained with the 20-30 years old style which is not relevant as such today.
4. Following International Standards: Various International Organisations like ILO, WHO, etc have laid the international Standards for the Various Professions. {Eg} WHO have given international Standards for Training of NURSE courses.
With these standards, Indian labour can provide services in foreign countries, and it will boost our Diaspora which will help Our Country in terms of GDP and Diplomacy.
5. Development of Creche & Skilling Home makers.
Creche Services works as a Game Changer for the Women Development. Tier-1 Cities have good Creche service provides but in Tier2&3 it's still growing.
Home maker wifes should be trained with Professional Creche service providing so they can open there own creche or work with any creche center.
This will improve Employment for the Home makers and many more women can now go for Work in service sector eventually raising Labour Force Participation Ratio (LFPR) of Women's. Currently Female LFPR is 32.8% in 2022-23. Only 1/3rd of the female population is working and hence we are losing much in terms of our Potential GDP.

6. Building Enterprise skills in Students for Business Acumen. Youth should be Job Creator rather than Job Seeker.
{Eg} In School Events, every student should be encouraged to place a Stall and they develop the Business Skills with it.
USA Case Study With the existing startup culture today more than 3 companies in Top 10 Companies of the World are incorporated just 25 years before. (Google, Amazon and Tesla)
Business and Startups are the new Hope for Developing of India. Encouraging students to build Risk Taking attitude, Business Accumen and Skills will help them flourish.
7. On the Job Apprenticeship & Internship: In every sector on the job training and especially for Freshers or Students in Colleges are much needed, to make them industry relevant. So they can generate revenues for the Firm in a short span of time.
Private sector should be incentivised for the Such internship. (Even in 2024 Budget, 10Cr internship program is guaranteed for youths)
8. Encouraging Women-led Enterpreneur: Providing with a "Business-Sakhi" for guidance of new Women's in Business and understanding Market skills. Women should be provided with Subsidized Interest Loans for development of Micro Units.
# Awarding 10.Startups Women Led will encourage other women's as well.
{Eg} Lijjat Papad was started by the Womens and now it has a Great Scale of Business.
9. Providing Skill Accreditation Certification: Government or Any Reputed institute should provide the Acknowledgment Certificate to those who have skills in that field. For Certification they can conduct a test of the person.
That certificate could be used by the person to get Genuine Clients and he/she can go abroad with this acknowledgement.
10. MGNREGS Funds used in Skilling.
Suppose, a new building is Constructed under PM-AWAS from the MGNREGA workers. In that construction site, with PPP model, Labours would be taught with new and modern construction skills and Work will be done on the other hand.
Hence integration will make the best use of funds sanctioned.
There are many more new innovations, which you can think and you should implement at your level to create an impact. Because, You should be the change, which you want to see in the world and Your actions will determine the Future of our Country.
